The Lord's Prayer

Our Father,
who art in heaven,
hallowed be
thy Name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in
heaven.
Give us this day
our daily bread.
And forgive us our
trespasses,
as we forgive
those who
trespass
against us.
Lead us not into
temptation,
but deliver us
from evil.
For thine is the
kingdom,
and the power,
and the glory,
for ever and ever.

Amen

Worship
The people of Saint Paul's Church of Lewiston are a welcoming, caring, and inclusive community
seeking together to understand and live the way of Christ in the world.

Service times are offered on Sundays at 8:00am and 10:30am

We offer a mid-week Service on Wednesdays of
Holy Communion and Prayers for Healing at Noon in the Chapel.
This service lasts around 45 minutes.
Afterwards, we who are able gather in the undercroft for a brown bag lunch.

There are many opportunities for worship involvement with us.
We offer something for everyone, both clergy and laymen alike.
For more information please check back often for other service announcements.

Action
Service for and in the community is an important part of our common life.
Many in the congregation volunteer in the community.
In addition, the parish supports several outreach projects directly.
These include:

Pantry Donations
We here at Saint Paul's are dedicated in our efforts to
support our community and the needs in it.
We donate weekly groceries to local food pantries such as Community Missions.

Fairchild Manor:
A local ministry in the village Long Term Care Facility

Camp Coast Care:
A joint effort between the Episcopal and Lutheran Dioceses of the Mississippi.

A portion of our yearly budget is set aside for local, national,
and international efforts to further God's work.
Please visit the
Links page for more information.

Community
Companionship: We enjoy one another's company in many ways.
Coffee hour takes place each week after the 10:30 service.
Potluck church dinners, picnics and other gatherings are held regularly
as well as an active participation in the community of Lewiston,
the Niagara Region and Western New York.

Doctrine
Creeds are statements of our basic beliefs about God.
Saint Paul's uses two creeds:  The Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed

The Sacraments are outward and visible signs of inward and spiritual grace,
given by Christ as sure and certain means by which we receive that grace.

Holy Baptism is the Sacrament by which God adopts us as his children
and makes us members of Christ's Body, the Church and inheritors of the Kingdom of God.

The Holy Eucharist is the sacrament commanded by Christ for the continual remembrance of his life,
death, and resurrection until His coming again.
Also known as the Lord's Supper, Holy Communion, Divine Liturgy, the Mass
and the Great Offering.
All who are baptized are encouraged to receive communion
whether or not they were baptized in the Episcopal Church.

Other sacramental rites in the Church include:
confirmation, ordination, holy matrimony, reconciliation of the penitent and unction.

Worship is our primary focus.
Our liturgy is rich with tradition, and yet also contemporary.
We believe the risen Christ is among us when we gather to worship,
so our worship is a true celebration.
We enjoy special events like the blessing of animals
as well as our Sunday morning communion service.

Opportunities abound for lay involvement:
acolytes, altar guild, chalice-bearers, choir, intercessors, lectors,
and ushers all help our worship proceed gracefully.
